I’m sorry for not posting Arsenal vs. Liverpool match report last week.Finally we got to win games after two consecutive losses before.
However,in Arsenal squad good news are always balanced by bad news.Arshavin,Almunia,Song,Gallas are out for this match.Eduardo is not available just yet but Carlos Vela is O.K after recovering from knee injury.
Tactical wise,defense is the main problem now with absence of Gallas.We should play more defensively and a draw is a more realistic target considering our injury problem right now.Employing 4-5-1 formation should do us more good than harm.
We just need to ensure that we can get at least a draw there and we can get a victory when we play them again at Emirates.
As expected,we suffered another titan defeat two times in a row.
I didn’t watch the match but from what my friend told me,our defeat was quite similar to our defeat in our own backyard.Blues won because their defense is stable,their possession is stable and there’s Drogba to kill us off,yet again.
But at least we got most of our tough matches played off and this fact will prove our advantage in the end game.Although we are 9 points behind the leader,but to get Chelsea to drop 9 points isn’t too hard considering the competitiveness of the league.Besides,ball is round and anyone can go up or down at anytime.
We will need to raise our morale to play the improving Liverpool this Chinese New Year.And since we got better record against Liverpool,our morale should be better too.At home,no less….

It’s another grand slam for us tomorrow.It’s just the second match of Hell Schedule.Although we can’t really afford to lose this match,it looks unlikely we will come out from Stamford Bridge with any points.Drogba is back from AFC;Vela and Eduardo are out for this match.
However,our title contention does not end even we lose this match.Although we could be several points behind the leaders after this two weeks,but we have our toughest match played already.That could translate into advantage in the end game.
Since we are short on strikers,we could play 4-5-1 formation which offers solid midfield and better defense.Moreover,our midfielders are fit and therefore we should employ more midfielders in this game.Although we know that Drogba is very very dangerous,but our defense looks like it cannot stop Drogba from penetrating our net.Although I may sound pessimistic,but that’s the fact from the statistics.
But I’m optimistic about the title challenge.In BPL,one club doesn’t win title by winning the big teams only;the team must also beat the small teams to get the final grasp of the title.
That was pathetic to watch.We were beaten in terms of everything.
United’s first goal was a lucky one.Nani’s shot was truly beautiful but I doubt he can do that in every game.
But United’s second goal was down to our defending fault.No one marked Rooney and all of our defenders was too focused on the crosser itself.Our style was not bad considering we were trying to get the ball back.But it’s like a formation that is empty inside;if it’s broken then it’s game over.
Arshavin’s finishing was very poor and we only made few on-target shots.The rest were rubbish.
We gained equality in possession but we lost badly in quality of possession.United’s defense was rock solid but it’s poor firing squad that made United’s defense looked that solid.
In the second half,it was game over.United only needed to play safely to bring three points home.
Enough of my rantings.I need to take a rest now.

It’s another titan clash before January ends.This match directly affects our title challenge since we give three points to our title rival if we lose this game.
Apart of Vermalen,Eduardo,Vela and Nasri are struggling for fitness.Eduardo injured his hamstring from the last match.Campbell will have to handle the Devils just after 2 weeks he rejoined us.I don’t sure if he can handle the Devils,but I don’t think he will handle them well than Vermalen.Anyway,we have to trust him.
Devils is no coward in their play and I expect consistent attacks from both side.Both managers have romantic games since the last decade and they will continue with their classical games.
Chelsea is the biggest winner here,but it’s only Chelsea who benefits from this game.Other teams are too far away from the third place so far.
Our last game at Old Trafford was a melee;we started well in first half and a single mistake made us concede from penalty.Another own goal presented the Devils the crucial three points.But that’s football and that’s what element that makes this titan clash so interesting to watch.
Both teams have their special kind of tactics and styles.Gunners loves to pass around and walk the ball into the net.Devils use fast passing and style of lurching forward(that’s not the correct word though to describe them).Liverpool’s and Chelsea’s style aren’t that interesting although their styles do produce results.
I’m looking forward for the match.It’s definitely interesting although we don’t necessarily win the game.
