Arsenal.com issued a press statement which confirms that Persie is out for five months maximum.
“Upon his return, the Arsenal medical team conducted a thorough review of his scans, his early injury management and the treatment he had received. Having scrutinised these in detail and assessed the response of his ankle, the Club’s medical team concluded that further investigation and opinion was required.
“Advice was sought from the leading ankle specialist Mr Niek van Dijk, who confirmed that more extensive damage had been suffered than was first diagnosed. In order to repair his ankle, Robin will undergo surgery next week in Amsterdam to reconstruct the ligaments. The Club’s medical team anticipate that a full recovery will take between four and five months.”Arsenal.com
That’s very cruel for a player whose form is improving towards his zenith. We could see that his form is getting better and better and to see him out until next year is like sudden electric breakdown when you watch climax of a movie.
Chelsea on the other hand enjoys abundance of players in its disposal.Anchelloti is perplexed about which players to choose, while Wenger is perplexed about who could play for Gunners.
On the bright side however,Persie’s absence will not affect our team much.Eduardo is a fine striker and Arshavin too is a fine finisher.Goals scored will determine whether we win or we lose.We have a good chance to get conceded when Drogba,Lampard and Anelka are boiling with full force and when Gallas is absent for the match.
We will see whether the best scoring team could beat best defending team.

Since I can’t think yet of what I’m going to write in this post, I will break up my post into three sections;just like I used to do before, and hopefully it will help me better to write this preview.
Players
Again, and again our squad always get injured easily.Diaby, Rosicky, and Walcott is sure to miss this game. Our captain,Fabregas is more than 50% chance to play this game.Come on, this is just our second competitive game and we got so many injuries already.
But fortunately, the rest of our squad is fit and I hope for victory in this game, and no more injuries as well.
Technical Tactics
Since this is an away game, and this is a Champions League match, it’s always good to focus a little bit more on defensive duties and of course try to control the midfield.Control of midfield means control of the game so midfield is very important.
Perhaps 4-5-1 is viable choice, but our last game against Everton showed that 4-3-3 is good too for us.
Overall
Since this game is 1st leg, we can still afford to recover should we draw or lose this game. And with big matches coming ahead in this few weekends, it could be possible Wenger will rest some players in this game.Whatever it is, we trust Wenger to control our squad.

Although le Boss’s comments are sometimes too optismistic, who cares if we like them. Here’s some of his interesting quotes:
Well it was a good team performance. I feel overall there is still room for improvement, not on the scoreline but in what we did today. But overall I am very happy with the team attitude basically, and we look like we have matured. And it’s a good basis to continue to improve and to work on what we want to do
I can’t comment much on team performance but from my point of view when I watched the highlights,we took our chances well (that could be caused by Adebayor’s departure) and we have a surprise fact that we scored three times from header, which was our weakness last season.Everton could be playing very badly, and that made we looked very good.Anyway, a win is a win and it’s good to have victory rather than defeat, three points rather than none.At least we now have a good start and a good start is half-way to silverware, hopefully.
on getting a good result ahead of the Celtic tie..
It is important. It lifted our confidence and that is good. But we are on alert as well. We know that every game is different. That is the way we can show we have matured. People are surprised, but you know that we were last year the team that scored more goals than anyone away from home. And we had a long unbeaten run in the Premiership away from home. Of course it is a surprise to win with such a score. But we know we can do it away from home
I’m really surprised Arsenal will play Celtic in such an early stage in Champions League. That’s the drawback of being the fourth last season.Celtic is another big challenge and hopefully Gunners could hold their ground against them.
Talking about scores, it’s always good to score more, but it’s always better too if we conceded less. There’s no point scoring six, if you concede seven goals.I hope Wenger will focus too on defending side instead of only concerned in attacking forces.I’m worried about this because he seems to brag about our scores.Haha!!!

6-1 opener is really a shock for me;what’s more,it’s an away game so I didn’t really expect that score line.
But too bad,I didn’t watch them live.I really regretted that.
On the other hand,Chelsea narrowly escaped draw with last minute goal by Drogba(as usual);Adebayor scored just after three minutes to give Man. City 1-0 lead against Blackburn.Man. City won 2-0.
And with this victory,Arsenal is currently on the top of the table!!!
And actually,I’m still can’t accept that Gunners beat Toffees 6-1;I need some time to accept that.See you soon.

Hello,long time no see.
BPL is back again!!!!After 3 months of boredom without BPL,it’s good to see them again. And to see Arsenal playing away games with Toffees in the first game is very interesting too, plus our fixtures on this month and September is pretty tough too;we got to play Everton,Celtic for UCL,Portsmouth,Manchester United as well as Manchester City. These teams are tough stuffs and hopefully our squad can last for all these matches.
Manchester City had dominated the transfer market, and there’s nothing much other clubs can do about it.Man. City inflated the players’ price and because not all clubs can spend like them, most of the teams don’t buy big players now, including Chelsea and Barcelona.
I really fear that we’re quite not ready yet for BPL games, and to face Everton in Goodison Park is a harsh start for us.But on the other way of thinking,we get to play tough matches first before we got players injured during the middle and end of the season. The usual Gunners’ tradition that we will have half the squad in injury list during January-May period. That’s why I believe that Gunners needs more players to accomodate such problems.
As usual,our usual problems against Everton will be;
1.Physically-challenged players
2.Aerial threats
Those are problems that always annoy us,especially when we play with 5-10th placed teams in BPL like Everton. They love to push us around, play long balls, make long passes as counter-attack.I hope we ‘re better prepared for that kind of nasty stuffs.
But I’m still confident that we should be able to squeeze out a narrow win from this game.3 points should be in the bag, hopefully.
