AS Roma vs. Arsenal match preview

March 11th, 2009

After seeing two English clubs went to quarter-final so far,we too would love to follow them.

Liverpool smashed Real Madrid 4-0,or 5-0 in aggregate and Chelsea managed to squeeze two away goals and a draw at Turin.

Gunners will of course welcome Eduardo,Walcott and Toure into this game.Their presence will give bullets and armors to conquer Rome at Stadio Olimpico, and if we perform superbly we could even return for UCL final.

On paper,we should have more advantages than disadvantages.Roma’s main players are quite doubtful for this game. They will be without Cicinho for six months after he ruptured knee ligaments in Sunday’s draw with Udinese. The Brazilian joins Simone Perrotta (knee), Marco Cassetti and highly-rated midfield enforcer Daniele De Rossi (suspension) on the sidelines. Francesco Totti, David Pizarro, Doni, Philippe Mexes and Alberto Aquilani all have question marks against them going into the game.

We will pressure them more than they do,because Spalletti’s side failed to score at Emirates a fortnight ago.A goal from us will force them to score three goals, which could be mission impossible if they don’t score any in first half.Chelsea have demonstrated the advantage of away goal yesterday, although they won with goal majority on aggregate yesterday.Their equaliser just before the break have almost shattered Juventus’ hope to qualify.
