Bolton 0-2 Arsenal

January 17th, 2010

Bolton:-
Arsenal:Fabregas 28, Merida 78

Fabregas again was put straight to work and worked out the first goal. Then came another Spaniard,Merida to solidify our lead and Arsenal won 2-0 in the end.

It wasn’t a pretty win but it’s a victory anyway. At least we got our three points.Another victory against Bolton this weekday will see us top the table although it’s Chelsea’s turn to have a game in hand.

I’m really quite tired now and I will update more later on……

Hopefully this game wouldn’t be postponed again.Postponement of Arsenal game against Bolton at Grooves adds burden to our already packed and tough schedule. Here’s the fixure of Arsenal’s game between late January and early February:

Aston Villa vs. Arsenal , 27th Jan
Arsenal vs. Man. United 31st Jan
Chelsea vs. Arsenal 7th Feb
Arsenal vs. Liverpool 10th Feb
FA Cup 5th round(we will be restless if we win 4th round and draw tough team) 13rd Feb
Porto vs. Arsenal 17th Jan

There are at least 5 tough matches in 21 days;that’s average of a team for every 4 days.Arsenal’s title credidential will be determined from its performance in these 5/6 games.

So far we are quite fit for this challenge;Fabregas and Clichy have recovered. The period between now and 27th Jan when the “hell schedule” starts is a critical moment since we need to grab enough points to even qualify for this “hell schedule”

I didn’t really expect Arsenal will drop points against Bolton, but I know any team can beat every team nowadays. There’s no more free three points to grab nowadays, apart from Stoke’s game against Man. United.

I’m not sure whether Campbell will feature in this game or not,but I think it’s more probably that Campbell will be on the bench and will feature as substitute if the game requires him to be there.Campbell has been 6 months away from competitive game and he needs more time to gain pace with BPL’s game style.

In a nutshell,we must win this game by hook or by crook. We really can’t afford to slip anymore.

Campbell – I wish I did never left Gunners

January 14th, 2010

Source:Arsenal.com

There were speculations that Campbell will return to Arsenal, and now it’s not anymore. It’s a fact now.

This time should be Wenger’s first time in recycling signing a player twice. In fact, this is the first time Arsenal signed a player twice.

No doubt, his presence does add a pillar on our thin defense block. In fact,I’m really happy that Campbell is back to Arsenal again.

Ok!!I must get back to this topic, which mentions about the post title.

Had Campbell played in better clubs such as Barcelona or Real Madrid,he wouldn’t utter such statement.I don’t really understand why he wasn’t signed by those big clubs. With his fame as one of the Invincible,he should be in the wanted list in those big clubs.I don’t really understand this fact.

1.Arsenal vs. Bolton match is rearranged

The game will be played at 7.45 pm(U.K time) on 20th January which is next week.

2.Campbell could make his way back to Arsenal

Campbell was named in Arsenal reserve team during the team’s game against West Ham.This incident therefores spectulates Campbell’s return to Arsenal after being jobless for around 6 months.According to official website, there are talks to make Campbell make a permanent move back to Gunners squad.

That’s a good deal for me,although Wenger may have to play his sold player again.Campbell’s transfer is free, and he got the experience to solidify our average defense. The fact that he’s a Gunners puts him in a better position to access our team.

3.Denilson:Last equalizer keeps our momentum

Brazilian admitted his side had to be content with their point. One, he argued, that would not be too detrimental to Arsenal’s title ambitions.

But the most important thing was that we didn’t lose. We have one point, we kept the momentum going and we feel good. We are three points behind Chelsea now. But we have more experience this season and we are coming to win this trophy this season.

We can agree with them, since that game looked like a point gained rather than two points lost. But we must reaccess our team if we really want to keep our momentum.Fortunately Devils dropped points too in St. Andrew. If not,we could be losing momentum.

Arsenal 2-2 Everton

January 10th, 2010

Gunners was lucky to rescue a point against resilient Everton.

To be honest,I didn’t watch the match.I was in my sister’s home and there’s no TV.I could only watch live score.I was shocked to see Gunners trail by a goal, and after Everton popped in the second,I went crazy.

That’s not too bad, considering M.United too dropped points against Birmingham in extreme winter season.

From Arsenal.com’s match report,we were quite flat and Everton actually should had won the game. Our attack was simply frozen in the cold -3°C temperature.

I could not elaborate more;I didn’t watch the match.
