Stoke City 3-1 Arsenal

January 24th, 2010

Perhaps this result is not too bad,and it’s not surprising that we lost the game.

I only watched Stoke’s first goal in the second minute. It’s quite the same story with our 2-1 defeat last year.Delap’s powerful throw was converted into a goal when Fuller utilized his chance to make Stoke in front in just two minutes.

That’s the only stuff I could write right now.I will watch the highlights later.

This is FA Cup match, therefore I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we lose this match.Of course we will love to win this game, but losing this game isn’t a big deal since we got better stuffs to focus to.Our next four matches will determine whether Gunners are competant enough to challenge for the title. In fact, the worst thing to come out from this match is a draw which means an extra match to play.

We will be likely to feature second-teamers.Arsenal.com confirmed that Campbell,Silvestre,Wilshere will play in this game.Other players include Eastmond,Sunu and Coquelin.Looking at the list of players that will play in this match,I don’t think Wenger places a lot of priority in this match.

The BPL title race just gets hotter now;Man. United is the new leader now with 2 points ahead of us.But of course we have a game in hand  Blues got 2 games in hand.

We know the game in Britannia will not be easy.In fact,we know how Stoke will play as mentioned in Arsenal.com.But can we counter their style??This match will tell….

Arsenal 4-2 Bolton

January 20th, 2010

Arsenal:Rosicky 44 , Fabregas 53, Vermalen 65, Arshavin 85
Bolton:Cahill 6 , Taylor 28(pen)

Arsenal goes to the top of the table now after quite a long time.We just made it to the first spot.

But I can’t comment really much since I didn’t watch the game.I will download the highlights and see how the lads played.

Despite the fact that we were resilient and made a fantastic comeback,we must address the fact that our defense is quite porous if it is compared to Devils’ and Blues’.2 goals conceded at home is quite an error and we must address it properly.

I would like to comment on le Boss’s post match comments:

on William Gallas‘ challenge before the equaliser…
I am sorry if the tackle was not good, really. There are two things I have heard just now: one, that he [Owen Coyle] was not happy with the tackle, and I am sorry if the tackle was not a good one. I apologise for that. The second thing, that he [Coyle] was not happy that we carried on playing, I think that is unfair because the players who went on, they did not know what was happening behind. When the player went down, they did not know if he got up again because when you win the ball you go forward, you don’t know what is happening behind you. That is why I don’t believe you can kick the ball out every time a player is down when you win the ball. That means every time you win the ball when you are 2-1 down, every time a player goes down you have to kick the ball out – it’s impossible. That’s why they changed the rule.

I have to say Bolton wasn’t lucky in this case. The tackle happened to be the critical point of the game.No more comments…

on hearing the Arsenal fans cheering Davies’ injury…
Of course, we don’t want that. I believe always we are responsible for our behaviour whatever happens anywhere else.

I don’t support such a Gooners’ reaction.Don’t do things you don’t want people to do to you!!I’m not sure if I made grammar mistake from that sentence.Feel free to correct my error if there’s any.

By hook or by crook,we won the game and that’s important before we face our tough matches a week later.

If we win this game by two or more goals margin,we will go top of the league for the first time this season. However,it’s easier said than done.

Although we recorded 2-0 win three days ago at Reebok,we actually could end up with a point should Taylor’s finishing was better.

The good things are Denilson and Walcott are fit to return for this game.More men power do help us when we are in hell schedule starting 27th January.Bendtner should recover in 10 days time and that means good news in English.Sol Campbell has yet to make any appearance so far since we resigned him few days back. However,Merida,Ramsey and Nasri are injured for now.Wenger on the other hand admitted that Arsenal hasn’t made any big progress so far in the tranfer window.

That’s forgivable when players at most online betting sites are so expensive today

I hope Traore can be more careful in his passes;I seen he made blunders in past few games that could cost us two or three points in the game.Remember,a goal scored could be a point earned, but a goal conceded could be two points lost.

The odd looks good to us right now; Most betting sites give good odds of Arsenal winning this game.

7-2 victory at Stamford Bridge strengthens Blues’ lead on top of the table, although Gunners could displace them should Arsenal win Bolton by two or more goals margin.

Devils too celebrates their goal fest, although they were struggling to break into the back of the net during their first-half game against Burnley. They won 3-0 eventually.

Arsenal’s shabby performance didn’t affect it’s 2-0 victory against Bolton. To be frank,Bolton deserved a draw actually.I watched the highlight and our defense isn’t convincing enough.I hope we will defend better in our next game.

Man. City lost 2-0 to Toffees, and the  4th-7th placed teams weren’t faring well last weekend.Aston Villa had to be satisfied with a point at Villa Park despite dominating the game against the resilient Hammers.

Robert Huth’s last minute equalizer against Liverpool adds more salt to Reds’ wounds.Reds are not going well so far with having their key players Gerrard,Torres and Bennayoun injured at the same time.

Here’s the rest of the result of last weekend’s game:

1.Tottenham 0-0 Hull
2.Blackburn 2-0 Fulham
3.Wolves 0-2 Wigan
