Zenit confirms Arshavin talks

January 6th, 2009

Source:Yahoo Euro

This means the only barrier that separate us with Arshavin is twenty million pounds.I don’t really sure if he’s really a good player but he have some pros and cons.

Pros:

1.He’s at his prime age
2.He’s an experienced player

Cons:

1.He’s not an EPL player before
2.His stamina is questionable

He’s 28 years old,the prime age of a football player. So,we can just buy and use him the next day. There’s no need to have a 34543 days of training or missed chances.

Besides,he had played in prestige championship such as World Cup and that will help a lot when the pressure comes on us.

But,he haven’t played in EPL before and we don’t know if he can adapt to EPL’s playing style which is fast, physical and quite unpredictable.

About his stamina,I don’t really know but some say he has quite a poor stamina.Could anyone verify it?

After all pros and cons,I think he is right player for us,provided the price is right.

Transfer rumours

Hammers intend to swap Upson with Bendtner

January 5th, 2009

Source:Mirror.co.uk

This could be a good deal for us for the following reasons;

1.Upson is an Englishman
2.We need a solid defence and he’s quite a solid defender
3.We don’t need Bendtner quite much

More English player in our squad will prepare us for the UEFA 6+5 rule, should this rule apply in the future.

For now,we have conceded 23 goals in last of our 20 EPL games. This shows that our defence is so poor that we conceded a goal in every game by average. An extra defender in our squad will be always welcome.

For now,we have already a plenty of striker now and Bendtner will not help much in our striking department.Although he has the potential, but we will lose our potential by the time he gains his potential. We can’t wait anymore for him to excel. If he wants to excel,he should have done it last season. Not now.
